We adopted our pup Broly a year ago when he was 3 months old. The process was so easy. I loved working with All About Animals and would recommend them to anyone looking to adopt. They even provided his shots and a chip to get him microchipped with when we had him fixed later.

I have been emailing All About Animals since mid October asking how I can apply to volunteer, as I’ve been available to help daily. I got one reply by email, in October, asking for my cell number but no name was given. No one called me. I haven’t heard a word since then, by email or phone, though I have emailed FIVE times total. Clearly, they don’t need much help if they won’t call or email a willing, available, and experienced, volunteer back in over 2 months. We adopted a rescue senior deaf dog elsewhere, as we wanted to give a home to a dog that was struggling with finding a home. It’d be difficult to recommend this place to anyone looking to adopt or volunteer, as there are other rescues who do reply and work with their volunteers.

I got my fur baby from here. The people that work at the shelter care about the animals. If you are looking for a fur baby give this place a shot

All About Animals is an amazing organization. I made an appointment to take my two female dogs for a meet & greet. When we arrived, I was asked what I was looking for. I replied that I was looking for a male with special needs or older. (I adopt those who are harder to place.) Please forgive me if I have the incorrect name but Liza was awesome. She introduced us to two males that she thought would be compatible with my females. The girls picked out their brother...he is 10 months old and deaf. He will be learning sign language. I highly recommend All About Animals. Their concern is the pet and the care (or lack of care) it will receive. If an application is rejected, you can bet there is an excellent reason behind it.

The volunteers were nice and very informative. But the lady whose in charge of making the adoption decisions is very rude and will not allow African Americans to adopt a pet AT ALL. She tries to make random bizarre excuses to why you’re being denied, even when you over qualify to adopt a pet. But then she lets Caucasians adopt with hardly no restrictions at all. The adoption process for them is simple and they are allowed to adopt a pet. I was denied a pup that was clearly ready to leave and go to a good home to a loving family BECAUSE I WORK PART-TIME!!! I really hope someone pays attention to what she’s doing because that is discrimination and racism. It should not be about race, it should be about finding the puppies a loving home. This is sad.
